On 'Don't Sweat The Technique', Rakim delivers his most socially conscious rhymes. Tracks like 'Casualties of War' directly reflect the Gulf War, which took place shortly before the album's 1992 release. Eric B expands his production style, crafting beats that are powerful yet soulful, bluesy, and melodic. This creates a great contrast, making Rakim's aggressive lyrics about poverty, police brutality, and the crack epidemic stand out even more. The title track and 'Know The Ledge' from the film 'Juice' are obvious highlights, but also check out 'What's On Your Mind', 'The Punisher', and 'Rest Assured'. This is a black double vinyl pressing from UMe, released in 1992 and reissued in 2018.

To enjoy this vinyl album, first make sure your turntable is set up correctly. Gently place the record on the turntable platter and use the tonearm to lower the needle onto the lead - in groove. When you're done listening, carefully lift the tonearm and return it to its rest. To keep the vinyl in good condition, always handle it by the edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches. Store the record in its sleeve in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Also, clean the vinyl regularly with a proper record cleaning brush to remove dust and debris.
