Description

The sixth studio album from San Antonio's Butthole Surfers, 'Independent Worm Saloon,' was first released in 1993 as the band's Capitol Records debut. After their previous label Rough Trade collapsed, major labels vied for them in the hunt for the next Nirvana. Capitol paired them with John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin as the producer. Thanks to Jones' input, this album is a bit more straightforward than their earlier works, leading to their first minor radio hit, 'Who Was in My Room Last Night.' It has a touch of Gibby Haynes' collaboration with Ministry in 'Jesus Built My Hot Rod,' but it's full of its own unique charm. The album includes 17 tracks like 'The Annoying Song,' 'The Ballad of Naked Man,' 'Alcohol,' and 'Strawberry.' This limited - edition LP comes on swamp - green colored vinyl (note: it's very dark and may look black in normal light) and includes a printed insert. Music label: Drastic Plastic Records 2022. Reviewed by Green Jello in 08/2015.

Using this vinyl LP is super easy. Just place it on your turntable, gently drop the needle on the start of the record, and enjoy the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or oils on it. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, and keep it upright in a record sleeve to prevent warping. Also, be careful when removing the printed insert as it's a part of this limited - edition package. Don't expose the vinyl to direct sunlight for long periods as it can damage the color and the sound quality. With proper care, you can enjoy this unique album for a long time.
