Description

In 2011, Dan Bejar's Destroyer released the album 'Kaputt', a Turntable Lab exclusive! Bejar delves into the late 70s and early 80s pop and rock. The music has a soft - focus feel as you go through the album. Reverberated trumpets and saxophones enhance the soft - rock and romantic - pop vibes. The album is full of great moments, from the jazzy pop of 'Chinatown' to the introspective title track. There's a collaboration with Kara Walker on 'Suicide Demo for Kara Walker', where Bejar explores new lyrical ground. In 'Blue Eyes', he exchanges witty remarks with Vancouver singer Sibel Thrasher. The album ends with the epic 'Bay Of Pigs', a long - form piece that starts with a droning ambiance and then moves into a lazy disco groove. 'Kaputt' showcases Bejar's talent for creating unique musical worlds with each album. This TTL exclusive is a 'blue eyes' colored double - vinyl pressing, housed in a gatefold sleeve. It's a limited edition of 500, released by Merge Records in 2021 under TTL Editions 048.

Using this vinyl LP is easy. Just place it gently on your turntable, align the needle carefully, and start enjoying the music. When handling the vinyl, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt or oils on it. Store the vinyl upright in a cool, dry place to prevent warping. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat sources. If the vinyl gets dirty, use a soft, anti - static brush to gently clean the grooves. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. And remember, this is a limited - edition item, so handle it with care to preserve its value and quality.
