The music of DJ Sprinkles (aka Terre Thaemlitz) is deeply emotive. His unique house music combines rich history and meaning while still appealing to the dance - floor. The remixes on 'Queerifications & Ruins' showcase Thaemlitz's wide - ranging skills. Despite different sources, the results are consistently excellent. The Ambient Ballroom mix of Oh, Yoko's 'Seashore' is a perfect introduction to this renowned producer's work. The original ambient piece gives Sprinkles room to shine, and his house - oriented touch, along with vocal samples, takes the track to a new height. On the flip side, the Deep Breath Mix of the Parallax Beat Brothers' 'Exhalation' starts as an ambient piece and then changes the game with a rhythm kick - in. It's highly recommended.
