Huerco S., based in Kansas City, continues this tradition with his latest work for Future Times in 2013. 'Apheleia's Theme' features blunted kicks and swinging hi - hats as a solid base for a rich bass line and muted chord stabs. Each element might seem simple alone, but together they create an unmatched sound quality. The track unfolds at a relaxed pace, with elements smoothly mixed in and out. On the b - side, 'Ausschachtung' moves forward in a disjointed yet engaging way, while 'Cercy' is more straightforward with a looping bass line that gives you a hold in the musical swamp.
