The UK-based duo Simon and Becky, known as Black Channels, present their eponymous debut. They have a passion for folklore, other worlds, and the dark side of the imagination, exploring these ideas through sonic experimentation. Using worn tape loops, dusty electronics, and large echo chambers, they craft a strange yet beautiful aural world full of haunting ambience, similar to the early works of Portishead or Tropic of Cancer. This vinyl is from the music label Death Waltz Originals in 2015 and was reviewed by pure mood in 08/2015.
