Description

Electronium, originally released as a boxset years ago, is now back as a single LP! Ideal for fans of early electronics and synth modules. This album mainly features the work of Raymond Scott, an experimental composer and pioneer in electronic instrument invention. Scott invented instruments like the Electronium (after which this compilation is named) and the Clavivox, and mentored Bob Moog. Hip - hop fans will recognize 'Lightworks' as the sample source for a Dilla track. Tracks like 'Wield Piece' and 'Don't Beat Your Wife' showcase early electronic oddities. Besides Scott's work, the compilation includes pieces by Dick Hyman, soundscapes from Oneness of Juju, Alex Durbin, Trip Motion Picture, and an unreleased Pink Floyd track. With 21 tracks, it's a treasure trove for producers and music fans. Music label: Electronium 2007. Reviewed by Hires.

How to use: You can play this LP on a compatible record player. Just place the record gently on the turntable, set the tonearm on the starting groove, and enjoy the music. You can listen to it for relaxation, inspiration if you're a producer, or to discover new music. Note: When handling the LP, make sure your hands are clean to avoid getting dirt on the record. Also, be careful when moving the tonearm to prevent scratching the record. Maintenance: Store the LP in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Use a record brush to clean the grooves regularly to keep the sound quality good.
