Here's a true story: I once asked Eli Escobar about his 'real' last name. Just like the man, it's incredibly cool. When Eli asked us to press his latest album, we didn't hesitate (our previous collaboration was 'Escobar Edits' in 2010). When I first listened to 'Last Summer' in full, it took me back to old NYC dance record stores like Vinylmania and 8 Ball Records. DJs there would play a random mix of records, from deep house to hard techno and Kenny Dope hip - hop breaks. You could spend hours going through the promos on the floor. 'Last Summer' is like hand - picking 11 of the best tracks from those promos. If the store were open now, old - head DJs and regulars would definitely grab this record. RIP BLU JEMZ. This is a Turntable Lab exclusive, a 180g translucent yellow double vinyl pressing. It's a limited edition of 300, with the music label Night People 2020 and TTL Editions 035.
