Frank n Dank: 48 Hours (J. Dilla) LP

After years gathering dust and facing suspect bootlegs, Frank-N-Dank's 48 Hours makes its first official debut! This record has been wrapped in mystery for years. It's a Dilla production with very few samples. According to Frank Nitt, there was never an 'original version' of 48 Hours as commonly thought. They started recording to Dilla's sample - driven beats and got 80% of the album done, then Dilla changed all the beats. The beats are a new direction for Dilla, with keyboard beats and live instrumentation (including a contribution from Questlove) taking the lead over samples. Yet, the production is fully Dilla from start to finish. Delicious Vinyl, in partnership with Yancey Media Group, has released 48 Hours in its original form. To enjoy this LP, simply place it on your record player and let the music play. Make sure your record player is in good working condition. When handling the LP, hold it by the edges to avoid fingerprints on the playing surface. Store the LP in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. If the LP gets dirty, use a record cleaning brush to gently remove dust. Don't expose it to extreme temperatures or humidity as this can damage the vinyl.
